Todd Hutchinson, “DJ ActRight”

Todd Hutchinson, aka “DJ ActRight” has been a well-known star in WV for most of his life. But it didn’t start out in the world of music at all. Although he always had a love for music in general… his High School and College life was all about basketball! Todd was an All-State basketball player at Winfield High; and continued his storied athletic career as a WV State University “Yellow Jacket.”

“Hutch” (as he was most commonly referred to then… and in some circles, even now) played basketball four full years for WV State. And graduated in 2011 with a BS in Physical Education. But shortly after graduation, in 2012, through circumstances of complete happenstance, “DJ ActRight” emerged as Hutch’s alter-ego!

DJ ActRight quickly transitioned the same energy and passion he had for basketball – into his new love: spinning music! Almost overnight, the artist formerly known as Todd has burst onto the DJ scene and has become a well-known "public personality." Over the years, Todd has had professional stints with the WV Power baseball team (now the Charleston Dirty Birds), and formerly on the airwaves of Charleston's 98.7 "The Beat" (now 107.3 FM).

Most recently DJ ActRight broke the mold of being a local talent and burst onto the national stage as the "Official DJ" for Platinum recording artist, Petey Pablo! Together, they tour the U.S. and beyond performing for crowds of thousands at major festivals and even cruise ships. Hutch has had many opportunities to collaborate with well-known artists, but most notably, he even toured internationally with hip-hop artist, Chingy!

BRAVO Live DJ was fortunate enough to recruit ActRight early in his career (before he got "big & famous.") There was a time when he was performing weddings and other events almost every weekend on behalf of our team! Now, his demanding tour schedule limits those opportunities. But a few times a year, a handful of lucky brides receive the honor of having DJ ActRight rock their wedding like only he can!

Personally, and perhaps most importantly, in 2025 Todd married his best friend, Kingsley and they are living happily ever after! Oh, and how could we forget?! As of 2026, we're excited to announce the arrival "Baby Hutch!" Will he be a future BRAVO Live DJ? Only time will tell…
